Awst: Welsh for august—the month the press was founded. au·gust (ôˈɡəst/) adjective. Respected and impressive.
Pronunciation of Awst: We don’t care how you pronounce it as long as you spread the word.
Awst Press endeavors to feature impressive work from diverse voices. By enlisting the help of guest curators from a variety of genres, emerging authors gain the exposure their unique voices deserve. We applaud journals that are already dedicated to publishing works from new authors, and aim to give these previously published pieces a wider audience and a longer life by republishing stories alongside an author’s new work.
Readers can keep up with these authors through digital and print options, including Awst Collections of new and sometimes previously published work, and Curator Series of all original work.
